Gowns & Garters was created after I finished planning my own wedding and getting married myself in 2007. During my planning I was so overwhelmed by what had to planned and organised. I found it stressful trying to find my gown; travelling to bridal shops, getting my bridal party together at the same time and making appointments to suit everyone because of work or school commitments. So after my wedding, I started looking into having my own bridal wear business which offered something unique and special. I understood the importance of finding the "perfect" dress, to have a stress-free experience and to have the bridal party there to give their opinion and for them to try on dresses too. So with that in mind, Gowns & Garters was created! We offer unique home visit appointments at times to suit you. We strive to make your experience as stress-free as possible; surrounded by your close family and friends making it a truly special moment in which to find your perfect gown.

We have a young UK label on board; Cascata Bridal. Cascata offer a range of bridal gowns, bridesmaid and flowergirl dresses which can be customised to suit your needs and style encorporating traditional and contemporary designs. We are very pleased to be the only stockist of Cascata Bridal in the North West, so you won't find these gowns anywhere else!

As well as our gorgeous collection of gowns, we also have a stunning collection of veils and tiaras from leading designers to complement your look.

We work closely with a very experienced seamstress with over 40 years knowledge in sewing and alterations; who has also been known to create bridal, bridesmaid and christening gowns.
